Stay Informed

You have various options for staying up to date - and it’s best to use all of them.

Email

You have at least two email addresses at the university, namely @rhrk.uni-kl.de and @cs.uni-kl.de. You should always check these regularly, as you will receive important circulars or messages from the Examinations Office or Student Secretariat there. The easiest way is to have emails forwarded to your everyday email address.

We have several mailing lists especially for the Fachschaft, which can be subscribed to via our website.

  • fsinfo - The normal mailing list to which all interested parties can subscribe. Topics range from activities of the Fachschaft and discussions about the study situation to information about events.
  • fsompa - The mailing list for all alumni. At some point your studies will be over, the time to continue actively reading fsinfo will be limited, but your interest in the Fachschaft and RPTU will still be there. This mailing list provides information about alumni meetings and Christmas parties.
  • laber - Anything that does not relate to studies, teaching or the Fachschaft can be emailed via this list. Renting a room in a shared flat is just as suitable as passing on interesting newspaper articles.

Mattermost

Mattermost is an open-source tool for communication. The university has a self-hosted server (so your data should be protected), on which the Fachschaft also has its own team. There you can ask questions in the various channels or simply exchange information.

As other software such as BigBlueButton is also integrated into Mattermost, video conferences are also possible.

You can reach the Fachschaft Mattermost team here.
